Sealing Your Pavers

After your pavers have been pressure washed, we recommend a seal coating treatment. This will ensure that your paver project will look as good as the day they were installed. Every Residential and Commercial paver installation should be treated with sealer.  Sealer will protect your pavers and simplify upkeep.

Paver Sealers will get dull and dirty with the span of time. The sealer will still be working but unfortunately, it loses its shine and luster. We recommend applying Sealer every 18 to 36 months.

Applying a solvent will restore the shine your pavers had when they were first installed.

When applying sealer coating to your pool-deck, driveway or any commercial property, we recommend waiting 24 hours before allowing traffic.  Doing this will ensure that the desired look of your pavers is kept for as long as possible.

Pressure Washing Your Pavers

So its time to clean your pavers?   Pavers can be damaged by ongoing moss growth between the pavers, weeds and dirt accumulation.  The average Homeowner needs to know that pressure washers can cause permanent damage to their pavers.  It is very important to use caution when using high pressure to clean your pavers.

Fine sand is placed in between the paver joints. With time, use and pressure washing, this fine sand can deteriorate.  After the pressure cleaning is performed we suggest re-sanding your pavers.

The paver cleaning process can start about a week prior to the actual pressure washing.  If there are lots of weeds and grass growing in the joint sand, we will eliminate those first.  This will kill the root system of the weeds, preventing weed regrowth.

Our paver professionals will also know how to remove any spills, oil, rust, or efflorescence that your patio, driveway or pool-deck might have accumulated over time.

It is VERY IMPORTANT to know which chemical solutions to use on your pavers and how much pressure is needed, to wash them correctly. Different paver materials require different care.

Once the pavers are completely cleaned, the joint spaces in between the pavers need to be refilled with polymeric or silica-sand.  The kind of sand that will be used depends on the material of the washed pavers.

Repair

So you have a problem with your existing Interlocking Pavers?  Evo Pavers offers a wide array of paver repair services.   Repairing existing pavers is not as complicated as it may seem.

Here at Evo Pavers we stand behind our workmanship.  As licensed Paver and Landscaping contractor we make sure that our work will stand the test of time.   All too often though, we see other paver installations develop issues such as crevices, cracks, underwashing and bulges.  Don’t worry Evo Pavers is here to help regardless of whether we did the original installation or not.

Here is a brief list of things to consider before calling in the specialists:

What’s causing the problem?

Make sure that your patio, driveway or pool-deck pavers are even and that the ground is leveled. You can probably pry out, one or two loose pavers to measure the degree of damages.

Base Sand issues:  Underneath the pavers you should see the base sand. This is the material that the pavers sit on to allow an even floor level.  More Base sand might be needed to level out your paver project.

Root Damage:  Nearby trees and bushes can cause damage to your patio, driveway or pool-deck. Sometimes roots pierce through the base sand and cause dips and cracking in your floors.  Some excavation might be needed to determine the level of damage.  Usually, trees and bushes will not be harmed by cutting off a few roots.

Ground Shifting:  Paver installations can take anywhere from three to five years to settle correctly.  With time, the base gravel can shift. The degree of moisture in the underlying element can cause pavers to sink. Is your patio sitting on limestone or is it on top of a concrete base? Generally speaking the base gravel can be re-compacted and resolve unsightly imperfections in your paver project.

EVO TURF is here to help!

Whatever the cause of the damages are, we guarantee that the professionals at Evo Pavers will find the source of the problem and fix it.  Weather you have an existing warranty or not.   For best results, it is highly recommended that the pavers be sealed right after the repairs are completed.
